A five-door, five-seat compact crossover on a turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol engine with a CVT automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive. Roughly 4.5 metres long and 1.85 wide, so it gives you the raised seating position without the footprint of a large SUV.
A smaller crossover from the same maker held back so that a confirmed booking does not collapse if the 5 is delayed on return. Ask for it by name if you want it; otherwise the 5 is what we are holding.
If you are weighing up buying one, a month with the car answers more questions than a test drive. Monthly hire drops the daily rate to around £31 and includes 3,000 miles.

Delivery and collection inside the M60 are included at every length. Longer hires are where this car makes most sense. This is self drive car rental — you rent a Moskvich 5 in Salford and drive it yourself — and weekly rental or short term rental of a couple of days are priced from the same table, with no separate rate card.

At 1.70m tall it clears the usual 1.9m and 2.0m barriers, and at 1.85m wide it does not need the sideways shuffle that wider crossovers do.

We are based in Salford and deliver free anywhere inside the M60 — the Quays, MediaCity, Ordsall, Pendleton, Eccles, Swinton, Worsley and across into central Manchester. Most handovers happen within a few miles of the Quays.
Outside the ring, delivery is 75p a mile each way, quoted in advance. Bolton, Bury, Stockport, Warrington and Wigan are all routine. Anything further out is worth a call so we can work out whether the timings make sense for both of us.
Once you have the car, it goes wherever you like in mainland Great Britain. The only constraint is the mileage allowance; ferries and travel outside GB need permission in writing beforehand.
